FSSA's Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning is offering an opportunity for child care providers to apply for assistance if closed due to a confirmed COVID-19 case which requires closure of a classroom or facility. This grant does NOT provide assistance to providers for CCDF/ On My Way Pre-K funded children. Grants are awarded to providers for the purpose of continuing to regularly pay child care staff and maintain operations for the time period of the required COVID-19 closure. Submitting an application is NOT a guarantee of funding.
In order to be eligible, providers must have been temporarily closed for one or multiple of the days covered within the time period of this grant, because of a confirmed COVID-19 case of a staff member or child within the facility. For purposes of this grant, total grant awards will be capped at $40,000.
Documentation Required for Temporary Closure Assistance Grant Approval:
- If closure is due to positive staff, documentation must be provided of confirmed positive test with name, date and results on form
- All staff must have approved consent form to work on file with the OECOSL
- If closure is due to positive child, name of child must be provided and attendance sheets must be submitted showing last date of attendance

If information provided is found to be incorrect or does not meet eligibility criteria, you may be subject to repayment of grant funds.
